Lynne and Terry Hawkins are pleased to offer you a warm and friendly welcome
to our hotel. Since opening the Huntingdon in 2005 we have established the
hotel as a 'home from home' for all of our visitors with many returning
every year. The accommodation has been completely refurbished and benefits from a lounge bar with a beer garden for guests to relax. The hotel also has double glazing, central heating, free WiFi internet connection and a large car park. The entire hotel is strictly non-smoking. The hotel is 100 meters from Dumfries Railway Station and only a 5 minute walk from Dumfries town centre. There is ample private parking for cars. Originally named the Hill the house was built in 1863 by Jean Aitkin Carlyle (Thomas Carlyle’s sister), this large Victorian, sandstone house offers the ideal location to discover the delights of Dumfries and Southwest Scotland. A friendly and courteous, personal service awaits you, making it the ideal place to visit Scotland. We are motorcycle friendly and can offer dedicated motorbike parking and advice on local routes. This really is a great area for motorcycling and mountain biking especially with four of the 7 Stanes in Dumfries & Galloway.
Please note that The Huntingdon House Hotel is a totally non smoking establishment.
